Vehicle criminals have been on the prowl in Liss with a spate of break-ins being reported around the village.

Several vans in the Bridge Meadows, St Mary’s Road and Station Road areas were broken into sometime between 8pm last Wednesday (April 17) and 6am the following morning.

There was also an attempted break-in, while a number plate was stolen from a vehicle in the car park at the rear of Linden Drive sometime overnight.

Police are appealing for witnesses and have asked anyone with information, CCTV or possible dashcam or doorbell camera footage to call 101 quoting incident number 44240162053.

Meanwhile, power tools were stolen after a van was broken into in the Merchistoun Road area of Horndean early last Thursday.

Police believe the break-in may be connected to a similar incident in Fareham around the same time, anyone with information should call 101 quoting 44240161703.
